Horse Racing

Parimutuel betting is a betting system in which all bets are placed together in a pool, taxes and house take are removed before payout.  Payoffs and odds are calculated by sharing the pool among all winning bets.

The parimutuel betting or gambling usually involved the following events:

Horse racing, dog racing, Jai alai and other sporting events. Most lotteries are modified parimutuel system games.

The most popular form of parimutuel gambling is Horse Racing.  It's often also offered at Off Track facilities, such as casinos. 

Thoroughbred and Harness racing are the most popular forms of racing in the United States Canada and parts of Europe.  Quarter horses and Arabian horses are the most favored in racing.
